A few years ago I read the book, Edie Sedgwick called Edie: An American Girl. I hadn't read anything like it. I wanted to identify but couldnt, instead i was mystified by her instant fame in the art and fashion world...sadly, the only lasting impression for me, was her style and that alone is an unfortunate way to be remembered.

It hadn't occured to me until recently how our modern day Edie Sedgwick is the likes of Kate Moss, Paris, Lindsay, Mary Kate, ...Don't get me wrong, I have grown to appreciate what they've carved out for themselves but by no means regard them as my style icon.

That said, I am exhausted by celebrity endorsements and the endless supply of contemporary clothing lines occupying the market place. Fashion K-Holes aside, I admit to loving Edie's style...and in the end, Edie wore it better.

How punk is jean paul gaultier? Seriously I almost forgot! This weekend, I caught JPG's syndicated fragrance commercial, "Madame" featuring last years favorite model, Agyness Deyn (whom notoriously sported a style that resembles pippy longstocking meets syd vicious). But what bummed me out was the music for this commercial....Listen/Watch here:

2. below raise the volume high and fast forward to "00.50 secs" then press play on both videos to hear how the commercial would have sounded better with Aygness singing.

This song would have been better paired up with the JPG commercial.

A Domino Home for 725k

I shot inside this charming 1 bedroom cobble hill apartment for Domino Magazine. Its owner is one of the most lovely people Ive ever met. If youre in the market this is listed at $725k. 1/2 block from the F train @ bergen street between smith and court.

my two worst nightmare situations would be to die in an airplane crash and to have to have missing teeth/pulled teeth.
My poor friend Heather woke up last week to a fractured tooth and had it removed the next morning. The doctors said she wont be able to have a tooth for another 3-6 months. Gasping for air and feeling all around overheated, we made no hesitation to head directly to the Glamour.com launch party where cocktails were awaiting my anxiety for Heather's poor missing tooth/sore gums.


It was at this table that we dished about our adoration for coconut, chatted with Susan Cernak and Joanna Goddard, talked about fashion, boys, and relationships...so very glamour.com of us.


Susan Cernak (right) fashion writer/guru/all around cool girl who i adore and love her more for complimenting my cooking skills (god, my mother would be shocked).
