The Portland Dream

I love to do comparison shopping, afterall its my job. A few friends have been looking to buy in Brooklyn and I've taken it upon myself to scope out the real esate scene. And what i found is not cute. Or atleast not cute for my budget.

My Dwell subscription smacks me in the face each and every time I look at it. On the same note, Karen from Omnivore referred to Dwell as "evil" meaning that she too feels my pain. But Karen just moved from NYC to Portland so her opinion doesnt count anymore. She is obviously a very smart person is working "remotely" from Portland now.

Folks, I might have to pack my umbrella, sell my shoes and move to Portland, Oregon.

This $499k refubished Rummer home in a suburb of Portland, Oregon.

Doesnt this look damn good!?

Looks damn good to me!

Holla!

Who wants to move to Portland with me?
_

So to further the dream, Ive decided to take a trip to Portland and I will happily stay at the Jupiter Hotel for a whopping $59

but honey. you hate nature. that house is all up in it. and you love fashion.
it rains a lot there.
at least wait until you're kids are in preschool and mine are too.
but if you are serious..well. i'll get out my umbrella and visit you. also of note.the thrifting out there is spectacular.

i stayed at the jupiter a couple months back. the rooms were pretty nice, but when we were checking in the girl behind the desk kept on saying, "groovy" and "chill" and i think she had a bettie page haircut. other than that, it was a nice stay.
