FASHION EDITORS SITTING FRONT ROW AT A YANKEES GAME

I have never in my life been to a sporting event. Not even in high school. Some people find this shocking.

But apparently baseball and fashion have been merging lately.

My ignorance for sports was educated and accompanied by fashion editor Erica Blumenthal. She says the first way to get into sports is by having a crush on a player.

For example...she pointed out "Jeter and A-Rod"

The evening drizzle was ruining my hair so we went back up to the Adidas skybox where we joined NYT friends, Andreas Kokkino and Melissa Ventosa Martin. Erica and I ambushed the buffet table - hot dogs, chicken tenders and buffalo wings. All of it in our mouths...Diets out the window.

Erica and I rushed back down to our front row seats only to squeeze in one last Blackberry camera phone shot.
And its a good thing we did because....

During the last ball, last out, last inning...the third baseman threw the ball to Erica, who caught it perfectly.

The plaque will read: "Turner and Erica Best Date Ever"
Needless to say, Erica can die a happy girl now.

BIG UPS: Theodora Sopko (Y3) and Kristen Caruso (Adidas)

I love you! You are a hot date and we need to teach you more about sports. I can turn anyone into a jock. Its my special skill. And you already dress the part :)

i bet your trainer was bummed on all those empty calories tho.
